2 Month Doctor Visit

Brianna had her 2 month doctor visit today. She weighed in at 14 lbs, 6 oz, and was 24.2 inches long. She is much bigger than her sister was at this age (Gabriella was only 12 lbs at her 2 month doctor visit.) The doctor said that she is doing great! She received three shots today in her thighs. She handled them like a trooper (actually, she screamed bloody murder..) She is now vacillating between sleep and tears. Every time she changes position it hurts her little thighs and she starts screaming again. Poor thing...

Brianna Update

1/8/09

Brianna is now 7 weeks old. She will have her two month doctor's visit the week after next. Her sleeping has improved - she now goes to sleep around 10:30pm and will usually sleep until 3am. This is GREAT! I didn't experience this type of sleeping until Gabriella was almost two years old! :)

She is beginning to coo and smiles all the time. She is awake during the day more than she had been in the past. She tracks movements really well and enjoys a good snuggle with Mommy or Daddy.

Pictures to come!

Quote of the day:

Stew: "Michelle, her cheeks, they're just so big. I mean, they're really kissable, almost like I could get lost in them."

Happy New Year!!
Brianna, now 6 weeks old, continues to pack on the pounds and amazing Mommy, Daddy, and Oma with her new developments - the latest being her continual smiling! Gabriella didn't REALLY smile until she was at least 8 weeks old, so we're thrilled to have such a smily baby at this stage! The funny thing is that only 4 days ago we could hardly keep her awake - she slept for about 21 hours/day, only waking for 10 minutes here and there to eat!!

Here's a little clip of a smile...
